“Solved” nothing… we haven’t seen where Santa lives yet, nor do we know anything about that place — unlike the Santa in *our* world (to the extent that there is one), we haven’t seen any elves (etc) or anything to indicate he has helpers. In fact, on reflection, *this* Santa seems to be a lone actor with no helpers, just plenty of really strong magic. Thus, theoretically, he could live anywhere… including this particular cottage, which, given the prevalence of gingerbread houses as a Christmas thing (at least in the “Southern” (southeast) USA where I live), would be fitting, amusing, *and* ironic, all at once — particularly since we associate such houses with the rather Nordic (sorry, I’m geographically stupid, lol, and can’t keep straight which of those countries is which even when staring at a properly-labeled map of Europe *blush* ) tale of Hansel & Gretel… which is way more channeling the old (and mostly forgotten here) Krampus type stuff than anything so holly-jolly as Santa!
…of course, the *real* mystery is why I’m expending so much brainpower in picking apart, analyzing, and possibly trying to influence a webcomic on the Internet, when there are many things more worthy of my time and attention… 😉
Oh great! The Snack for Arsenic is here too!
The next strip had better have a Gingerbread Ogre, or I’m going to be VERY disappointed indeed…
Awww, stuff in arrow brackets gets stripped silently. Ya’ll ain’t no fun! Fine then…correcting for that little oops, that comment /should/ have been…
“The next strip had better have a Gingerbread Ogre, or I’m going to be VERY disappointed indeed… [devil_grin]”
Correction… if this turns out to be Santa’s place instead of housing a Gingerbread Ogre, that would actually be pretty funny… 😉
Do you really want everything to be solved by Claus Ex Machina?
Tell me what you want, what you really, really want!
